June 2018 Challenge: Space texturesJune Challenge - Space Textures!
The challenge this month is a great idea suggested by: :iconbgai:
Many of you will remember the very successful texture challenges we have had in the recent past: Voroni Textures and Marble Textures.
These packs were compiled from all the texture layers freely donated by participating members:

For June the plan is to do this sort of thing again. This time we will be creating and sharing all sorts of space textures!

  May 2018 Newton Polynomial ChallengeMay 2018 Newton Polynomial Challenge
Hello all. Here is May's Ultra Fractal challenge for you.
This one is a suggestion from :icongerda1946:,
it's a formula called Newton Polynomial in cdj.ufm.
Caution: Do not use any other similarly named formulas from elsewhere - choose carefully!
Your task this month is to explore this formula in some detail and produce images that use it on most (or all) of your image layers. You may use any Outside or Inside colouring you wish and any transformations/mappings you like but try not to make the transforms too extreme as the object of the exercise is to show the sort of things this formula can produce. It's really quite an interesting and versatile one to play with!
Well, I hope you will enjoy the different style of fractals you can make with this one. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.
Do please share your parameters wherever possible. This is so helpful for newer users.

March Challenge and other newsFebruary's marble challenge
Hello all. We won't be having a vote on the February marble challenge images this time. Instead I am preparing a texture pack for you of all the marble textures submitted. Everyone has chipped in with some fantastic work and the new pack is going to be absolutely fantastic! Watch the group journal for news of its release - you're going to love the results. :love:

Fancy joining a long standing Ultra Fractal Pong group?  The UF Chain Pong is down a couple of people so we would like to find another one or two new members to freshen up the group.

February 2018 Challenge: Marble TexturesFEB 20th UPDATE:
Just two little reminders about this challenge which now has just over a week to run:
1. Don't forget you can submit SIX images this month
2. Please be sure to publish the parameters for your texture and not just params for the whole image.
I don't think I made this clear, sorry. As I don't know what you are happy to freely share it's best if you sort that out beforehand. I can then take your texture params and add them to the community texture pack... which you will be pleased to know is coming along very nicely indeed!! :D
